Chapter 1 New World, New Web, New Skills

Chapter 2 Students and Learning

Chapter 3 New Tools
The main thing I took away from chapter 1
is that in the very near future (if not now) how we
educate our children will be me more important than
how much we educate them. We live in a different world
than 10 years ago. The New World as it is called. Will my students
be prepared for this new world? That will depend on me.

==Assumptions - What Assumptions does the author of the text hold?==

Students can think that availabilty equals permission.

Agree - What do you Agree with in the text? I think teens are used to

accessing so much shared information on the internet such as youtube

that they dont understand there are copyright rules. I agree with the text in that

students use the internet differently from adults. They use it as social networking

where as adults tend to use it for things like checking email, etc.

Argue - What do you want to Argue with in the text?

Aspire - What parts of the text do you want to Aspire to?
